Summary of Hosting Center Enhanced Services Package

  1. Disaster Recovery/Backup:

Disaster recovery/backup services are based upon the use of disk to disk backups with offsite vaulting service for daily server backups. The offsite vaulting service compresses and encrypts the data prior to the data leaving the server, then transfers it though an IP connection to a secure remote storage facility. This service is performed for most data on the system local disks as well as for designated date on the ‘High Performance’ storage option as described.

When we bring a new server into the environment, Offsite backups perform an initial full backup, also referred to as “Seeding the Server”. After seeding the server, all subsequent backups are incremental. Backups run nightly between 7:00pm ET and 7:00am ET (a 12 hour window). The exact time of backup is determined by the customer and service delivery team.

In addition, backups are preformed at our Asia data center twice daily for all applications on the agenctrack1000.net domain.

  1. Retention scheme:

The Grandfather/Father/Son model is used for backing up data. This provides a total of 14 unique backups for each server in the vault at all times.

Son – Daily backup - 7 copies kept for 7 days

Father – Weekly backup – 5 copies for 28 days (scheduled for Sunday evenings)

Grandfather – Monthly backup – 3 copies of 90 days (scheduled to run on the 1st of every month)

  1. Redundancy:

Includes fully redundant active/passive network including carrier class border routers, firewalls, load balancers and switches are exempt.
